Welcome back

OMG its been like forever. My sincere apologies for not been consistent and posting for a very long time. I had a very rough ending of the year/begining of the year. I had an accident and hit my head so I had to have some part of my hair cut out to get to the injury. I was a bit traumatized......bla bla bla..... The good thing is that am sound and well today and is something I should be grateful for . The issue now is that am on the fence on if I should big chop or not.  Am really having a difficult time deciding.  This is how it is. Anytime I touch the patch where the hair was cut,  I just feel like cutting the whole hair and starting afresh but on the other hand,  I have never cut my hair and the thought of starting anew scares me. That's the trouble I have on my hand right now. Feel free to send in your advice at the comment section, it would really help. Am really quite busy now because of school but I promise to post as frequently as I can. I would update yo...

Tips On How To Use A Sulfate Free Shampoo

Hair drying my hair in sections after wash I washed my hair yesterday although i used a clarifying shampoo. I used ors creamy aloe shampoo. Today i want to share tips on how to use a sulfate free shampoo because this was something i struggled with a little bit when i started my hair journey. The first day i used a sulfate free shampoo(i used El glitas hair wonder shampoo, i still use it till now) i found it to be a little annoying. Why? it didnt latter up like the ones containing sulfates and it didnt give me that clean feeling also. So the Nigerian in me came out as i made ridiculous comments like sulfate free shampoo indeed, this thing doesnt even wash hair....mtewwwwww lol. I even thought maybe the shampoo wasnt a good one and i made up my mind to change it. But something said to me ( i think it was the holy spirit) to read the ingredient again and use it one more time. And i discovered that it actually had a lot of good benefits to hair. The first time, i just scanned through the...

My Bed Time Routine

How do you keep your hair if you are about to go to bed. Do you just lay on your bed with your hair like that? If you sleep with your hair that way then you are doing it wrong. It is necessary you prep your hair before going to bed just like you do for your skin. Most of us make the mistake of paying more attention to our skin care, pedicure and manicure, even our teeth whilst neglecting our hair just because we can cover it up with extensions, caps, hats  e.t.c . It is very essential to make sure that our hair is well prepped for bed before taking your night rest                           REASONS WHY HAIR SHOULD BE PREPPED FOR BED Hair that is not kept well for the night will leave your hair in a bad shape the next morning. Your hair will be messed up the next morning which will give you the task of keeping it back in shape. Sleeping with your hair just like that can result to matting and tangling of the hair w...

Moisturizing and Sealing

WHAT IS MOISTURIZING?  Moisturizing is a process whereby a moisturizing product is applied to the hair especially the tip to help keep the hair well hydrated. A well moisturized hair does not tend to get dried easily and is not so prone to breakage because dry hair is one of the factors of hair breakage. WHAT IS SEALING? Sealing is a process where a small amount of oil is applied to the hair especially the ends  to lock in the moisture. This oil enables the moisture to be sealed into the hair fibers and keep the hair hydrated for longer.           WHEN SHOULD HAIR BE MOISTURIZED AND SEALED Moisturizing our hair once a week will not meet the moisture requirement our hair needs in other to stay healthy especially black hair which is prone to been dry. Furthermore, due to our climate, our hair tends to evaporate moisture quickly. Even a hair that has undergone chemical processes such as relaxing and colour treatment will lose ...
