Shampoos

Shampoo is a hair product that is used to clease the hair. The aim of using a shampoo is to remove the unwanted build up in your hair without stripping out so much sebum (sebum is oily, waxy substance that is produced by a gland to help make your hair lubricated and manageable). There are a lot of shampoos in the market out there and choosing a shampoo can be a little difficult but knowing the types of shampoo can make the task a lot easier. Shampoos are commonly described by NON SULFATE and a shampoo that has SULFATE. But am going to explain the types of shampoo under theee categories.........which are:

REGULAR SHAMPOO
CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
NEAUTRALIZING SHAMPOO

REGULAR SHAMPOO:  This the type of shampoo u use frequently. it is advisable to use a shampoo that do not contain sulfate because sulfate is known to be quite a little harsh and frequent use could lead to stripping the hair. Examples of sulfate free shampoos are:
Giovanni smooth as silk shampoo
Elasta QP creme conditioning shampoo
El Glittas hair wonder shampoo
Shea moisture organic raw shea butter moisture retention shampoo

CLARIFYING SHAMPOO: It is advisable to use a clarifying shampoo to wash your hair at least once a month or once in two months. Ingredients in a clarifying shampoo is quite harsher than the ones in a regular shampoo. Most of the time they contain sulfate and is used to remove stubborn dirt build up that a regular shampoo cant remove. I use ORS creamy aloe shampoo to clarify my hair once in a month or once in two months.

NEAUTRALIZING SHAMPOO: This shampoo should be used only after you are done relaxing. The relaxer we use on our hair can affect our hair natural ph balance, so neutralizing shampoo helps to neutralize any alkali or caustic residue in our hair. Our hair should be on a ph level of 4.5 and 5.5 so neutralizing shampoo helps to bring it back to that level after relaxing . I use mamiya organics neutralizing shampoo .

Most of the time, people tend to mix up on the type of shampoo or when and how it should be used. i hope i was able to explain to you. You could also ask me questions too.

what kind of hair shampoo products you use for your hair......you could share with me😀😃. Don't forget to care for your hair people

My Bed Time Routine

How do you keep your hair if you are about to go to bed. Do you just lay on your bed with your hair like that? If you sleep with your hair that way then you are doing it wrong. It is necessary you prep your hair before going to bed just like you do for your skin. Most of us make the mistake of paying more attention to our skin care, pedicure and manicure, even our teeth whilst neglecting our hair just because we can cover it up with extensions, caps, hats  e.t.c . It is very essential to make sure that our hair is well prepped for bed before taking your night rest                           REASONS WHY HAIR SHOULD BE PREPPED FOR BED Hair that is not kept well for the night will leave your hair in a bad shape the next morning. Your hair will be messed up the next morning which will give you the task of keeping it back in shape. Sleeping with your hair just like that can result to matting and tangling of the hair w...

Moisturizing and Sealing

WHAT IS MOISTURIZING?  Moisturizing is a process whereby a moisturizing product is applied to the hair especially the tip to help keep the hair well hydrated. A well moisturized hair does not tend to get dried easily and is not so prone to breakage because dry hair is one of the factors of hair breakage. WHAT IS SEALING? Sealing is a process where a small amount of oil is applied to the hair especially the ends  to lock in the moisture. This oil enables the moisture to be sealed into the hair fibers and keep the hair hydrated for longer.           WHEN SHOULD HAIR BE MOISTURIZED AND SEALED Moisturizing our hair once a week will not meet the moisture requirement our hair needs in other to stay healthy especially black hair which is prone to been dry. Furthermore, due to our climate, our hair tends to evaporate moisture quickly. Even a hair that has undergone chemical processes such as relaxing and colour treatment will lose ...
